Research Collaboration: Foster interdisciplinary research collaborations between faculty members and researchers from the University of Illinois System and partner institutions in Brazil. Encourage joint research projects, knowledge exchange, and the sharing of resources to address pressing global challenges in areas such as climate change, public health, sustainable development, and social inclusion.
Student and Faculty Mobility Programs: Develop student exchange programs and faculty fellowships to facilitate academic mobility between the University of Illinois System and Brazilian universities. Provide opportunities for students and faculty members to engage in immersive learning experiences, collaborative research projects, and cultural exchange activities to broaden their perspectives and enhance their academic and professional development.
Capacity Building: Support capacity-building initiatives aimed at strengthening research infrastructure, enhancing academic programs, and fostering institutional partnerships in Brazil. Provide funding, technical assistance, and training opportunities to enable Brazilian institutions to develop and expand their research capabilities, academic offerings, and international collaborations.
Community Engagement: Engage with local communities in Brazil and the United States to address shared challenges and promote sustainable development. Collaborate with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community stakeholders to design and implement community-based initiatives that leverage the expertise and resources of Brasillinois to improve quality of life, promote environmental stewardship, and foster social inclusion.
Knowledge Sharing and Dissemination: Facilitate the sharing and dissemination of research findings, best practices, and innovative solutions generated through Brasillinois collaborations. Organize conferences, workshops, seminars, and public lectures to promote dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders in Brazil, the United States, and beyond.
