UI Ticket Privacy Policy

PRIVACY NOTICE

INTRODUCTION: BY INSTALLING, USING OR OTHERWISE ACCESSING THE APPLICATION FROM ANY DEVICE, MOBILE OR OTHERWISE, YOU ARE AGREEING TO ABIDE BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS PRIVACY NOTICE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND/OR ACCESS OUR APPLICATION.

This Privacy Notice sets forth how your information is collected, used, transferred, and stored through the mobile application titled “UI Ticket System” that was created by Administrative Information Technology Services (“AITS”), a unit of the University of Illinois, (hereafter, “Application”) and the terms and conditions governing use of the Application. The Application is owned by the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the University of Illinois (“University”, “we”, “our”, “us”). The Application enables BOT members to order and purchase tickets to University athletic events (“Tickets”) and to reserve a hotel room through University personnel in University’s discretion for such athletic event. This Privacy Notice is also subject to the University of Illinois web privacy notice at http:// www.vpaa.uillinois.edu/policies/web_privacy.cfm.

I. WHAT INFORMATION MAY THE APPLICATION COLLECT FROM YOU?

A. Personal Information.

“Personal Information” for purposes of this Privacy Notice means information that can be used to identify, contact, or locate an individual in connection with the process of obtaining Tickets and any related hotel room(s). This Application may collect your Personal Information identified in this paragraph. In order to use this Application, you will need to logon through a University authentication system using your University ID and password. In order to reserve and order Tickets, you will need to provide the following information: the date and specific University athletic event you wish to attend, number of Tickets, and whether you want the University to reserve a hotel room for the event. By providing us with this Personal Information, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Notice. In addition, should you decide to purchase Tickets in addition to the BOT member complimentary Ticket, the Application will link you to a trusted third party service provider, currently TrustCommerce, for the collection and processing of your credit card and other Personal Information. Such Personal Information that you choose to provide to a third party service provider is subject to the privacy practices and policies of that third party service provider.

II. HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION USED?

User Personal Information is collected and used to facilitate the purchase of tickets to University athletic events and to reserve a hotel room.

III. IS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SHARED?

We may share your Personal Information that you have provided to the University outside the University as authorized by law, order of governmental authority, or court order; when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. We may also share your Personal Information if permitted under University of Illinois policy, authorized by an approved University of Illinois, University of Illinois Foundation or University of Illinois Alumni Association contract, when you give consent, or for good cause by the Chancellor or the Vice President for Academic Affairs of the University of Illinois.

IV. HOW IS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION PROTECTED?

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us. No method of transmission, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

This information should not be construed in any way as giving business, legal, or other advice, or warranting as fail proof, the security of information provided via the Application.

V. HOW LONG IS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED?

We will retain your Personal Information provided to the University in a University database for the duration of your BOT position or as otherwise authorized by law, order of governmental authority or court order. If you would like us to immediately delete such Personal Information that you have provided via the Application, please contact the Board of Trustees office at UIBOT@uillinois.edu and we will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the user Personal Information may be required in order for the Application to function properly.

VI. OPT-OUT PROCESS

You may opt-out at any time from having your Personal Information collected by the Application. To opt-out you must not use or access (or continue to use or access) the Application.

VII. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE

We may amend this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we change this Privacy Notice we will post the changes here: www.uillinois.edu/about/policies/mobile/UIticketsystemapp. Your continued use of our Application after any such changes will constitute your acceptance of the updated Privacy Notice. If you do not wish to accept the revised Privacy Notice, you must not use or access (or continue to use or access) our Application. Please do regularly check our website to determine if the Privacy Notice has been updated and to review those changes before deciding whether or not to access (or continue to access) our Application.

THE APPLICATION AND MATERIALS, ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS,” “AS AVAILABLE,” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS” BASIS. UNIVERSITY DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS, AND WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. UNIVERSITY MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT THE APPLICATION OR THE MATERIALS, WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR FREE; NOR DOES UNIVERSITY MAKE ANY WARRANTY FOR ANY PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION OR MATERIALS OR RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED THROUGH USE OF THE APPLICATION OR AS TO THE ACCURACY, SAFETY, RELIABILITY OR USEFULNESS OF ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THE APPLICATION.
