The University of Illinois System will acquire nearly three acres of land for expansion of the College of Medicine in Peoria (UICOMP) under an agreement approved Tuesday by the Board of Trustees Executive Committee.

The 2.97-acre parcel is adjacent to UICOMP’s campus and will be purchased for $500,000 from Wald/Land Corp., a Peoria-based real estate development company.
