The University of Illinois System is conducting a national search for an individual to serve as the next permanent chancellor of the University of Illinois Chicago and vice president of the University of Illinois System. The system is seeking top candidates with outstanding academic leadership experience and a keen sense of the dynamic higher education environment.

The Position
The UIC chancellor represents and works with the entire campus community to establish an environment that is collaborative, collegial and empowering. This leader reinforces the traditions of shared governance, while leading the succession of accomplishments and innovations to new levels. The chancellor also serves as a vice president of the U of I System.
